As the title says, I have a d16Y5 intake mannifold, the runners are huge Can I use this on my D15B Vtec? I herd only the D16Y8 intake mannifold will swap, what can I do to make this D16Y5 manny w0ork on my D15B ???

The intake on the head might have to be bored so there's no turbulance. Take an intake gasket off your D15 and match it up to the intake manifold to see if it fits, quickest way to find out without unscrewing a thing. Someone here might know firsthand though...

 

after further inpection, there is a lil sensor on the y5 intake manny that isnt on the d15B

im putting a y5 on my d15b1 but i have a 92 vtec head and im going from dule point to multi point so i also have to upgrade from obd-0 to obd-1 im not shure wat u got but thats wat i have to do hope any of this helps

 

The D16Y5 intake manifold is the same as the D16Y8 manifold except for the addition of an EGR.

 

can you get by without using the EGR? can you bypass it or will that throw a CEL from the hx ecu?
