Default 1995 Honda Civic DX coupe questions

Okay so I'm geting a nice all around Honda for $3800. It already has some MODs to the engine but, the engine has over 192000 miles on it. So what I'm thinking about doing it get the car pull the engine and re-build the whole engine with performance parts OR do a conversion to a B series engine (I dont know whats in it right now I'm thinging a D)...So any thoughts about my project and what I should be looking into? I am hoping to get about 200 hp out of this car (its runing 110 about right now with 192000 miles).

Thanks

EDIT: To the fourm MOD sorry if i issplaced this thread a little bit :S i should of mabe put it in the motor section?

you can throw on a turbo and reach 200hp...if u want more....throw on some tuner toy rods and vitara pisonts (both for about $400ish) and a bigger turbo...make sure u upgrade the injecotrs...tune with crome on a chipped ecu...u can make 400HP

In about 2 years I will be puting on a $4200 turbo system on it.....I'm trying to get at least 200hp without a turbo or nitrous. And the Injectors will be replaced to spec the new parts that I will be puting on the car...then they will be replaced with even beter ones later on depending on if I need them.

Thanks For Your Input

It's running 110 at the crank, which boils down to about 80hp at the wheels.

200 whp is a pretty lofty goal on either motor without some serious upgrades. For about the price of a B-swap you could throw some fresh rods and pistons in the D and boost it, or you could swap in the B for a more reliable daily driver.

200hp N/A is not gonna happen on a daily driven D series. Those are impressive numbers for N/A b16's and b18's (Excluding type Arghhhh's)

Go with a B18C1 swap(GSR) with a Type R S80 Transmission. You'll barely need any more modification to make 200 whp, its a little pricy but trust me its ****** worth it.

A stock gsr is not making 200whp. It will feel faster with the tranny, but it's not gonna get it to 200whp.

To go away with Hondas motor and put in a Toyota Supra engine? 320hp but I'm not sure it will work because the motor to the Supra is huge.....plus I've never seen a honda without an engine to measure anything.

So how much is a B18C1 engine? And also I dont have a welder or other nice tools (moved from Alaska and couldnt take anything like that)

Also I am 16 just geting my GOOD kid toy, I'm not going to be racing it or anything like that (yet) *it will turn into a full roll caged car after i go thru all my welding classe(I'm on 2 of 4)

I do have the basic handalings for tools and I've been working on cars since I was about 6 or so...

I am going to look into the swap for the engine.....

HmotorsOnline.com for pricing.

B-Series motors bolt in. You don't need a welder

B18-B's are cheap and a dime a dozen, with better HP and torque than a D series. Goost boost potential too.
