I think my friend is getting the shaft on his new B!6!
He has his new first gen sitting in the garage, and is not very familiar with what he has. They told him his engine had ITR pistons, GSR head and, GSR tranny.
I'm trying to help the guy out. I know for a fact that tranny is cable. So that means it's impossible to be a GSR tranny. The valve cover on the engine is a B!6 valve cover. I don't know if the GSR valve cover looks any different. They will probably fit on any B-series head. Is it possible to put the ITR pistons in a 1.6?
anything will help fellas
Thanks.

Really! Thanks for the info
I looked all over the tranny for the name,
and found nothing. Where would I find out what
kind of tranny it is. How do know if its a GSR head?

They never made a '90-91 GSR. only '92-93's, which had the most desirable trans, cause of the short gearing + being able to rebuild with US parts (unlike y1/s1) Also, ITR pistons will fit, any B series vtec valve cover will fit that car. Also, To see if it has a GSR head, look for ethier a P72 stamping, or look at the intake manifold, if it folds over down, then its a GSR, if it comes up, like on the itr, then its a B16 head. Also, B16 head will say PR3 i believe.
