Default Overfilled tranny

So i changed my axle on the drivers side today. I didnt drain my tranny fluid, and some leaked out. Me being stupid i was parked on a hill. I didnt check the level before i filled up really quick, because i was late for work. I dumped a whole quart in there. So i may be over .5-1 quart. What is the damage on a d16y8 manual tranny, if any?

however i Will drain the rest out to the proper level when i get off work, or tommorow, but untill then, i drove about 100 miles today, in stop and go traffic.

Hmmm, how can you overfill a manual? I just fill it till it starts coming out the fill plug.

you can overfill it, if you fill it using the VSS on the top of the tranny, i had to fill it quickly, i did NOT undo the fill hole. so i can be very well overfilled

park on level ground, undo the fill plug, let it drain out until it is barely running out of the fill hole, plug it, drive, be happy

:scratches head: So if you know the proper way, why again did you do it incorrectly?

Any Extra fluid will come out of the vent tube.

if you did overfill it, the gears would be difficult to get in and out of.
