Default Check engine light on DC5

Hey guys, my 02 DC5 threw a check engine light a few days ago and I just had it checked. What I'm wondering is if you guys can shed some light on code P1456- Exhaust Gas Temp. Control- Bank 1 control Limit reached and what solutions I might have to fix it.

That means your gas cap is loose more than likely. An Acura P1456 is the DTC for EVAP System Leak Detected (Fuel Tank System)

Taken from the internet:

"DTC P1456 (Evap Control System Leakage) in PCM memory. If you get one of these vehicles in your shop, you'll probably find that the fuel cap is loose."

Either that, or the EVAP system has a leak somewhere. More than likely the gas cap is loose though.

This can be a really easy fix or a nightmare for many honda/acura techs. p1456 is a evap code, most of the time it is a loose fuel cap. This code relates to (FTP) Fuel Tank Pressure. But when its not then you might expext to see your car at the dealership for a day or two and expect to buy a two way valve and evap solenoid.
