SSautochrome manifold part TWO
Well the other thread was deleted for good reason. Here was the first post of the thread as is
New detachable runners, allows easy access to the header bolts.

Ok so that was the first half, the manifold was tossed on the ground by the customer after it was taken off, yes he was pissed. The runners broke though about 20 times before that and was re-welded.
Ok so people mentioned a brace properly made would help, true, well you would think. Well I have been talking to another member on here and he shared with me some pictures, and some information. Here are the pictures, these might of been posted in the past.
Picture one, the turbo is braced.

Result
The manifold still broke. I have found out he also had the same issues we have seen in the past, the middle of the collector basically just disintegrates and little holes start forming. So take it for what its worth

Least they still had the turbo and wastegate in the engine bay ? I know of some people where the wastegate fell out and ended up 2 miles behind them.

obviously the brace didnt work cause if it did the turbo would still be up in place just fine with a cracked manifold not broke....
I build my braces to remove 100% of the weight off the manifold this way all that the manifold is doing is directing air into the turbo not supporting it also

Stop posting pictures of Speed Phreaks manifold. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1073443 That manifold was molested to death. Find a better example to illustrate your weak *** point.

same thing i was thinking.
if the brace worked like it should, the turbo should be in the same place if the manifold fails. it should not be hanging 6" lower if the brace worked correctly.
either way, i would never rock one of the ssauto's manifolds.

I figured he removed the brace and the turbo was sitting on the cross member just for the pictures.

If you look at the last pic you can clearly see that the brace is not there
