Default Aftermarket VTC systems?

Would they be hard to fabricate, and/or worth the possible cost?

The parts breakdown would look like this:
Timing chain
External oil lines
(2) Pneumatically controlled phase-shifting cam gears
Lower cam gear
Piggyback ECU control

All in all I see this coming to about $1000-1500...the peak gains wouldn't be much, but it would help big time for people with non-VTEC cars and big cams. It would help minimize low-RPM blowby and maximize high-RPM scavenging. Obviously controls would suck, but also, the VTC system would have to attach to the outside of the head, which might not work in a tigh engine bay.

Has this been thought of before? What do you guys think?

Also, do they make roller rocker followers for the B/H?

WAY too complex for 99% of the people here. K-series is much more practical. it does sound like a cool project though.
