Is it worth trading a Clean title coupe for a Rebuilt title hatch?? Input needed plz
The other day I came across a dude with a Midori Green EK hatch, 99-00 front end on it. Some suspension work but pretty much stock. This car is beautiful but the only problem it has is its REBUILT title
. The airbags have also not been fixed.
The guy wanted to trade the car for my 97 EJ8 coupe. Which has a clean title.. He says that I can pull anything off my car to put on the hatch to make it an even trade.
Do you think its even worth getting into that car if it has a rebuilt title?
Does anybody have a CARFAX so they can run it on the VIN?

You need to think about it to yourself and see if it is worth it to you. Some insurance companys will only allow liability on a rebuilt title. Also you will have a hard time selling the car if it ever came to that.
thats true, but i want to see if people were in my shoes what the ywould do..
The reason it leaning towards trading it because ive always wanted a EK hatch :x
and midori green with a 99 front end is beautiful

I wouldn't. I am selling my WRX with a rebuilt title right now (looking at buying a civic). As time goes on, you will find little things wrong with it. They most likely had to cut corners somewhere rebuilding the car to make money. Its not worth the trouble.
I would, and I wouldn't. I would because i like hatches better than coupes. Midori green is just the nicest honda color ever. Also if you are going to sell a modified civic you will always have a hard time selling it. Also with people telling that there is always something wrong with rebuilt/salvage cars because of things here and there dont believe that. Unless a car is new there is always something wrong here and there. Go for it, only if its in better condition than your car, you can always just swap out the air bags...
