Default Probably a dumb question.

I took my car to get the oil changed at one of those Quick lube places. It's still under warrenty so I want to have all the paper work incase of anything happening while its under it. So the guy used only 3 quarts of 5w20. I always used 10w30 on my honda's , and only 3 quarts for a 2.0L? I used more in my 1.6L.

I am not sure what your question is, but the car needs more oil. Did you put some in yet?

Default Not a dumb question, but not a good place...

dank24: First, I'm actually surprised these drive-thru "quick lube" places would even have the grade of oil required for the EP3, which is 5W-20. Usually, they use one huge drum (bulk) of an "average" grade (i.e. 10W-30 or 10W-40) to cover all vehicles coming thru. So make sure the oil used is 5W-20, and like others have already stated, your EP3 requires 4.2 L (4.4 US quart) of oil - 4.5 quart would do just fine.

Would anyone here feel comfortable having one of those quick lube generic oil filters installed on their RSX or EP3 vs. an OEM one? Also, the crush washer for the drain plug has to be changed every time the oil is drained. Do you think the "quick lube" place changes it, or even know there is one attached to the bolt from the previous tightening?
