Default crx d16/ internals or b18?

should i swap my motor for a gs-r, which is expensive, or change my internals which is prolly half the price, maybe 1,500 rather than 3,000 for the swap. im estimating the internals will give me 30hp, but then the gs-r is like 45hp, i can probably do the gs-r but it will take longer to save the money.
ONE MORE THING---i know this is a newb question but if i drop in the gs-r, can i use my crx si transmission?

You can get an all motor 180bhp from a D-Series but it'll cost you about $3k. The upside is you get an almost brand new motor and don't have to spend another $500-1000 just to drop it in. The downside is that you're pretty much maxed at that level unless you build for turbo.

The choice is yours and all depends on what your ultimate goals are.

this is what i want to do. with about 1,500, i want to get a cam, and a few other things to give me about a 20hp increase i'll be happy with that. i dont want to put everything into it at once. im gonna keep it that way for a while and then see wut happens in the future.
