what's YOUR excuse for going 5-lug?
i seriously wanna know why people decide to go 5lug, what's so cool about this fad again?
Don't even bother saying
1) Better wheel choice (we all know you'll buy 15x7, +44 wheels anyways..)
2) Better brakes (please, you can upgrade 4 lug brakes for less)
3) More wheel studs, stronger (you don't put out the power to even snap them.)

I was gonna go 5 lug for a deal on a set of M7's, I bought the wheels, but never did the 5 lug and sold the wheels. I agree with the better wheel market idea too, there is some really nice 5 lug wheels that arent made 4 lug, like tc-II's.

better brakes? lol, i believe a type r caliper is the same thing as a gsr, a 1 piston caliper just with a bigger rotor...am i right or wrong?

wow, people blow all that money for 1 extra lug and keep the same 1 piston caliper but 10mm larger rotors? Also, what's the thickness of these type-r rotors?
why not buy the 4x100 to 5x114.3 adaptor conversion? it's like 100 bucks for a set haha.
just wondering, what other cars besides a type-r can you get a 5 lug from? prelude 5 lug fits on civic? I have one friend that has legit 5 lug, and then 3 other friends with i think are stolen 5 lugs.

No The R caliper is bigger than the gsr or ls.
ALSO if you gonna ask that question then you should ask whats the deal with cages, jdm front ends, etc, etc, I think its just a personal prefference.

if bigger brakes are such a big thing. why not find a cheaper alternative?
Maybe getting 300zx 4 piston brake calipers on a honda? i'm sure a bracket can be made. with the 300zx 280x30 rotors, you can redrill to like 4x100/4x114.3/5x114.3
these calipers cost like 100 bucks a pair too haha. same brakes on the skyline r32 GTR and r33 GTS-T.

WTF does it matter what other people do to their car? If they want to spend money to go 5 lug then they can do so. I personally wouldnt. And i dont swing on anyones nuts who does have 5 lug. I really dont care at all. To me its just an extra lug, nothing more.

how? lmao stock for stock yes...... but a modded gsr with alot of suspension will blow your type r with that extra lug out of the water... are u really that big headed because you have an R or just plain stupid?
