Default crv auto transmission question... Techs needed

i know this could be real bad... but here goes... i am in need of a 97-01 crv awd auto transmission... i have a awd crv... i found a fwd auto trans locally... my question is... is there anyway i can get this to work on my car? maybe i can take the rear driveshaft out and run the fwd trans till i rebuild mine. or i dont know if there is a difference internally or if i can just put my transfer case onto the fwd trans? i dont know anything about automatic transmissions so keep the negative comments to yourself. i figured it was worth a shot to ask.

If you get it mounted, I'll bet the electronics are gonna go nuts.

I know the rear mounts are different.

Due to the of a slushbox, get the right tranny FIRST.........

I know I am a bit late, but I have an answer based on experience. You can take the internals of the FWD, and put them in the AWD case.
