Default confused AEM EMS UEGO controller module?

I am looking to buy the AEM EMS, but I thought all I need is a wide band O2 and i wouldd be able to street tune it. So why are they trying to sell a wide band UEGO controller module. Is this really needed to street tune?

The Uego wideband will only tell you how the engine is running, you can't do any tuning with it, if that's what your asking. In order to do any tuning you must be able to burn chips, or get the AEM EMS, or even an AFC will help some... Hope that answered your question
