two questions, first question, is the USDM ITR wheel any different from the GSR, if so how, can someone post a picture for me? I know I have seen it, but I never looked, and I am in the market for a new wheel, but don't really want to get too far away from stock, if I do.

second question, this is for anyone else with a JDM front end, is there anything, aside from getting the mugen bumper, or getting the stock replacement, that will fit in the area between the two headlights? illustration below...

basically, I had it, but it is now gone, for a short story, and I am just wondering about my options.

why not just get another piece?

 

itr wheel: not really different at all, cept it has a more leathery grip to it, if u can call it that.

front end: um, stock, no other alternative unless u want to fit a mini-turbo intercooler there

 

yes, there is a grill thats supposed to fit there.

the guy went cheap? ..i dunno.

I am thinking I am going to figure out a way to cover it with some honeycomb grill matterial, it is just finding some...

or just get a stock replacement of course if I do that, I will order the metal hood and fenders, since the fiberglass fitment sucks, and after 4 years I am finally tired of telling people that it isn't hail damage but a shitty paint job.

why cheap out on just a grill when the whole JDM front end is already been bought?

it is a funny story, well not really. 4 years ago I ran into a BMW, did $40 damage to it and $3k to my car, so I went to the only import shop I knew in town and said, I want a JDM front end, and gave them the check from the insurance (I thought I would make a good situation of my stupid self running into a BMW). of course they tell me I can only get fiberglass, I am like whatever, since my car is broken, and I don't like driving a broken car. they get it, paint it like ****, I complain they tell me there isn't anything they can do.

within the next year I got backed into 4 times, the last time I ordered a stock bumper from japan, and after the body shop gets it they realize that piece is broken as well, they never call me back and tell me it is arived and ready to go in, I go back and ask, they don't know anything about it. I complain and tell everyone never to go to that body shop (which I also did for the import shop, which is now closed).

anyway, I have been rolling for almost 3 years without it now, and am getting tired of it, although it does allow remarkably more air onto the radiator, even in the heat of summer my temp guage doesn't go to the normal area and peg, but it drops when the thermo opens, and durring winter it is hard to get warmed up heh.

anyway, don't know if you all wanted the whole story, but there it is thanks again for the help!

 

only difference in itr wheel and gsr is the itr wheel is leather wrapped.

 

Itr wheel doesn't have cc on the right side of the wheel.
