Default New Car

Ok i found a car in the newspaper for sale. Its a Honda Civic 2 door. (Its an old lady whose selling it. and she dont know if its a hatchback or a coupe). But she wants $1500 for it. It has 201,000. So what should i look for when i check out this car. And do you think its a good deal? Thanks for your help

I think you can do better for your 1500-if you are way out in the sticks you need to check big city want ads, craigslist.com is great for online shopping. A car with those miles should have had lots of major parts replaced and she should have the receipts.... timing belts, clutch brakes axles, etc. In my neighborhood you can do alot better for your money.

When you go to check out the car, take a good look on the outside for any damages to the body and paint. For the interior, make sure it doesn't smell like *** and that everything is clean. But most importantly, check for how well the car's been maintained. Ask the owner if the timing belt and water belt have been changed. Not to mention if she's had the oil changed as often as it should have. There's other things to check for but I'm sure there's other people that can verify that for you. I know I left out some things and/or made a mistake on something so don't get all wet .

Well, he's not in your neighborhood so I guess he's jacked out of that deal .
