you need to do it while the car is level to make it work best.

i usually jack up the passenger side of the car, take the wheel off and then lower til it is level.
look at the transmission where the passenger side axle enters it, and just to the rear of teh axle is a 19mm bolt that is the fill plug.

Their is also a vent pipe on the top of the tranny, look under the big radiator hose. It normally has a little rubber cap on top of it. I use a funnel with some tubing and fill through that vent pipe. Much EZer than trying to fill via the side hole.

I use that too, I have a small funnel that fits that perfectly.

alright guys, its very had to get decent pics cause this almost sits under the intake manifold, on the trans theres a service botl u can fill thruy there witch is way easier and way faster, BUT you have to have ur car level. i was working on a hill and couldent get it level so i had to do it the hard way, so here you guys go if u ever get in my situation :D

TOOLS YOU'L NEED:
3/8 inch wratchet
10mm deep or short socket
12inch extention
6inch ectention(optional but easier with both)
big *** funnel at least 2 feet.
3qts of mtf or oil, both will work, usualy arround 2-2.5qts
a flashlight, youl want this one trust me

to start off pics are kinda shitty and i appologize but i tired :D here we go!

pop hood, and support :D
take off intake tubing, were u see the cirlce is were it is roughly, kinda under thermostat housing,.

ok now youl want ur extentions... i used 12inch and a 6inch combo for 18inch and it cleared everything which was nice, anyways there only 1 bolt, seems easy heh? all lies! this is a pic of the bolt u wanna ppull out, its a 10mm.

after u pull that out, pull the switch off the vss, u could do this before unbolting it or whatever doesnt make much difference, this just allows us to move the vss out of the way more. heres a pic of it, its grey and has 3weires goin into it, cant miss it only plug coming out the vss.

gently pull the vss upwards, and wiggle if you have to, once out of the whole u can set it sideways so the hole is free for funnel to fit in, heres a pic of mine sitting sideways by l-bracket(rear mount)

now we need to take our huge funnel(thanks to autozone) and shove it thru fuel lines, coolant lines and vacuum lines straight into our vss hole, witch is about 1inch round.
this funnel was probly 2.5feet and barely come to come hah.

then u procede to fill your trans, i called honda amnd asked how much, they said a little over 2qts if just removing axles, check ur books call local honda whatever but ya fill her up, dont top it off.

to put the vss back you simply stick it back in hole, line the 2holes up so the bolt will hold it down securely, and i just put it hand tight. then put the plug back in, turn ur car on dont dont drive all crazy or high rpms for like 3-5hours of driving, make sure u get the mtf or oil everywere so u dun ***** up ur trans :D

hope this helped u guys, i dont gotta pump thing to do it the other way, so i usualy always do it this way. if you got bigass hand like me, this is a sucky job cause its a confined space, if you get pissed easy id call a shop or a biddy over hah, anyways there ya go.

ok so no offense, but HOW THE HELL is that easier then taking the fill plug shown in the pic above ur post out and fill using it. all you need is a rubber hose and a funnel. you fill slowly till it starts to come out, that means its full. then you put the bolt back in, and ur done. its easier if u have 2 people, one to pour, while u lay under it and put the bolt in as soon as it starts coming out, but can be done by yourself

btw how do u know when you have the correct level doing it ur way?
