and my 89 rex si wieghs more. this seems wierd too me. you would think that the rex is way lighter. this is from msn and the honda stock car weights on here. the reason im asking is becuase Im wondering what 180 whp 1.8 will make it run.

the lightest 2nd Gen Crx ever weighed just over 1800 lbs and it was an '88 Hf, B swap weighs over 100 lbs heavier than a d swap so you car has either further weight reduction or the scale is wrong plain and simple. yes the '90-91 Si's weighed over 2200 lbs, and yes some base model 4drs were lighter than some higher model Crx's, it all depends on the trim model, options, different years, blah blah blah.

2174 was the highest wet weight ever published for a CRX (91 Si) in the U.S. models. If any of them were 2200+ it must have been one of the DOHC ones overseas.

The sedans are supposed to be closer to 2322.

My LX weighs in at 2236 with a sohc zc swap, roll cage, no ac or PS, stripped back interior and trunk, no spare...

180 hp, 150lb driver, 2200lb car....could run as low as a 13.6 with right around 100mph traps.

i can tell you that a complete b18 weighs just about 300 lbs and a d16a6 weighs a **** hair above 200 lbs, a d15 is just below 200 lbs and a b series tranny is at least 20 lbs heavier than a d-series, add in befier axles and other junk and i'd say 100 lbs heavier is probrably an understatement

88 Sedan base model (LX I beleive) VS. 91 CRX Si (with options added like sunroof visor and other crap). It would be a close call. Sunroof = 100lbs with all components to it.

Where are you people getting these outrageous numbers?

The USDM 91 Si (which came standard with a sunroof -- not optional) weighs around 2174 stock. The sunroof assembly does not weigh 100lbs, its more like 35lbs.

emissions...I'm assuming it was a roller dyno you got urs weighed on? If so they just weigh the front end of the car and the computer estimates the cars weight based on that.

Ok mine is an 88 sedan DX with a B16 swap. whole interior with a little lighting (no front bumper reienforcement cuase of JDMness) but i have a heavy *** box in the back and amp. Plus *** loads of crap in the trunk. My **** weighed 2370 no driver. which is really light considering I can really take a lot of **** out. I was really surprised since I always thought it weighted a lot more than that.

hatch glass weighs a GRIP

take out your hatch supports (the little shocks that hold your trunk open) and then try opening your hatch...its a BITCH
i bet a 4-dr's rear glass and two rear door glass STILL don't equal the weight of the crx's hatch glass...add in the sunroof and thats even more weight
