Can't get distributer rotor off!
Yes, I removed the screw that holds it to the distro... I pulled and pulled and it wouldn't budge.
Am I missing something like a second screw?

I think he was talking about the rotor inside the dist.
I've recently experienced a similar problem with Dave at evogarage. We clamped the distributor down on a vise and destroyed the rotor and chiseled off the stem of the rotor gently.
On another PITA occasion, I've used a dremel to cut the rotor stem off, AFTER I ripped the rotor to shreds with a pair of vise grips and my furious cuss words to damn it straight to hell.....
Of course you do this after you try and pry it off with a screwdriver and it doesn't work....

mark said distributor with a sharpie, or something else.
remove the 3 bolts, take the distributor off, then proceed to carefully remove rotor screw. (its made of butter, not metal. )

Thanks DanGSR for sharing this tip with me!

how does that help the guy out? You never need to remove the dist assembly to remove the rotor screw...if you're having problems with the screw, then you're using a crappy screwdriver!
Just take a big flathead and slowly pry it out, careful not to break the big plastic cover

removing the distributor will give you a better angle to work on...i'm sorry you couldnt intuitively figure that out. Does anyone else need me to start explaining things as if they had down syndrome?

do what gator said: take a flathead screwdriver and pry that behind the rotor... then wedge it off... might take a while though...
possibly put the head on the inside of the hole where the screw went and use a small hammer to tap the screwdriver (just make sure you don't put the screwdriver into the thread
)
worked like a charm for mine... rotor became useless though

only a down syndrome kid needs to remove the dist to replace a cap and rotor!

this is much easier then it seems guys, use a pair of needle nose pliers with long nose, open them up to fit down between rotor and distributor and give it some light hits with a hammer outward. it works well when you have long needle noses
