What the hell is a spacer?
So I've seen a few 5 lug kits availible for my car, but it says
4 to 5 Lug conversion 4x114.3" bolt pattern to 5x114.3" bolt pattern spacers
what the hell does that mean? is it not true 5lug? is it for visual purpose only?

There are two different things that are often referred to as "spacers". Both push, or "space", the wheels out away from the hub.
One is a flat metal plate that is often used to push the wheels out short distances (less than half an inch) and looks like this:

The other is more properly called a "hub adaptor", but some people refer to it, too, as a "spacer". It has its own studs, so the adaptor gets mounted to the studs in the car's hub, and the wheel gets mounted to the studs in the adaptor. It is used to push wheels out longer distances (as much as an inch or more) and/or to use a wheel with a bolt pattern different from that of the hub on the car. It looks like this:

It sounds like you're confused because you've only seen the first type of "spacer", and you're looking at something referring to the second type.

No, you can do it with a hub adaptor.

So did I. If you click on the photos in my post above, you'll go to the website that sells them.
(However, in my opinion, you are almost always better off just getting wheels with the proper lug pattern, rather than getting a hub adapter for wheels with the wrong lug pattern.)
