So the idea of a dual runner intake manifold system seems to be a good theory; giving more low end torque and lettting the motor breathe at higher RPMs. Is there any way that anybody has modified their original GSR intake manifold to make it perform well in a moderate all motor build? Is it really that big of a deal to switch to a single runner-style manifold?
When a few people I know changed theirs our for say a skunk2 unit, I could feel a noticeable difference in low end torque not being there as I was used to.

i just recently took out the 2nd runners out for a customer cause they didn't want to spend $200 on a manifold... he seems to be happy about it... i didn't even test drive the car cause my co worker gave him the car back and i wasn't at the shop..
eliminating your butterflies is not an option if you want to keep your mid range and low.
you could port the short runners on the manifold for nice gains and keep the long runners
