Default Finally some track times for my 320whp LS/V-T **NEW TIMES OCT 1st ***

Well... i picked a bad weekend to go to one of the tracks close by.. but I went anyways..

It was Nova Scotia Drag Racers Association (NSDRA) finals there this weekend... so 240 cars racing....

Only got 2 runs in..

13.3 @ 109mph
2.0 60ft
1.4 reaction time

second one was
12.9@111mph
2.1 60ft
.83 reaction...

Was improving alot, and this was my first time racing with slicks, and first time racing my car boosted....

I was pleased, im hopin for low 12s, high 11s after some practice.... 2 runs just doesnt cut it..

not too sure, could be the flow in my manifold, could be the vaccuum source not close enough to the turbo

Its not the wastegate that makes it creep, its the wastegate placement on the manifold.

with that trap times youd be very very lucky to hit 11's but low 12's aren't out of the question

Same slicks, same power level i ran consistant 1.8 60's. That was my first time out so im sure there is room for improvment. I noticed running about 8psi in my slicks and launching at 7500rpm worked best.

What were your 1/8 times?

. absolutely. i run my drag radials at 10psi.
when you go and do a burnout, you increase the pressure in the tire because it heats up and expands (not much but still).

for the creep, its a mix of wastegate placement and design. i used to get some creep, and my wg hole out of the manifold was no where near the 1.5" it shoulda been.

i think you'll wind up being consistant in the low 12's, but its gonna take some time. it took me about 10-12 passes to work out some different things and become consistant in the mid 12's. trial and error, seat time are your friends. practice makes perfect!

slick pressure too high.. 60fts hurting you. Tire pressre at 7psi. I had similar traps as you, good for mid 12's.
