Default greddy type rs bov .. problem?

Whats up bros and brodettes... or just bros... got a greddy type rs on my car and it was leakin a little air when i was boosting with the throttleplate open.. so i tried to tighten down the adjustment nut to make it harder... but when i spin the nut the whole screw top spins wtf? so i loosend the nut almost all the way off and grabbed some vicegrips and tried to tighten down the screw but it didnt seem like it was goin in at all.. still very loose.. so i marked the screw threads and checked to see if it was goin in and it wasnt... any ideas?

you strip the housing thread for the adjustment screw. the nut is just to lock the screw in place so it doesnt back out. it doesnt have to be super tight.

yeah, check your threads, it dosen't take muck to strip out alum. threads. if you did you will need to tap it and use a bigger bolt.

you dont have to tap it with a new screw
you can just jbweld the nut onto the housing to make a new set of threads for it
