Default Any other options besides Hasport??

I am still wondering if there are any cheaper mounts then hasport and Why the hell you need them???

Can you weld up some new mounting holes to put the SiR motor mounts in???

These engines did come in these cars.

THX anyone done a b16 or bseries swap with out hasport???

Is it possible?

PIcs are good cause ive never seen b series mounts.

I am using HCP mounts and I think they are a little cheaper in price then HASports. But people will tell you that they think HCP sucks. I had o problems.
About the mount thind w/out using a kit I have heard of people welding mounts and customizing but if this is done incorrectly it could really mess something up and put extra stress where it is not needed.I would personally buy a mount kit.

save your self the hassel and buy the hassport kit...and shift linkage both make the swap so easy...just make sure you follow the instructions correctly

I have the place racing 3 mount kit and its been great, except for the vibration.
Its not as bad now 2000 miles after my swap, but Its still more than I;d like it to be
good fit, decent price. As for the shift linkage, I am using true SIR. I drove a car with the HCP linkage, and it didn't feel as defined as mine did, even after extensive adjustment.

I have done three or four different b16a's and everytime used the HCP mounts and linkage, 375.00 can't beat it and I have tourchered the mounts and motors and the mounts are holding up perfect in all cars. MTC

Spend your money on Hasport. It's worth it.

HAsport
Place Race
HCP
MAD
all make mount kits.
In my opinion Place Race and HAsport are very similar and are both top notch. HCP is you get what you pay for, at such a cheap price I wouldn't expect them to be the greatest. I have seen but never tried MAD mount kits look similar to HAsport and Place but not as durable but then again I believe they are 1/3 less. I am using a HAsport mount kit and shiftlinkage, no complaints from me on the kit except the fact that there is so much vibration but I would perfer performance over comfortablity. The motor does not move once in and bolted up, and the shiftlinkage is so crisp and tight with an extremly short throw.

If you're too concerned about the stiffness of the mounts, you can always try drilling out some material out of the mounts. I asked Gil about this and he got ticked. But I figure, if you don't go all the way through and maybe do only like 3 on each side of the mount staggered from each side, then that should be fine.
i was going to do this, but I didn't have the ***** to....

I just used HCP mounts...the rear mount hole had to be drilled 1/4 bigger, but other than that they are good for now. 1st day on the streets

You can't really do anything. That is what happens when you get solid polyurethane mounts.

Keep the stock motor . I personally have the HCP mounts and I like them....other than the vibration that is. Very easy to install and I'm using all 4.

Few words of advice. If you want speed, DONT WELD. If you plan on getting a good clutch, and that stuff, dont weld. Welding is a cheap way. Just spend 400 and get some HCP mounts. The ride will be real ****. But its your car, do what you want. It will shake like a ****. Good luck.
