Default certifit, yay or nay?

i did a quick search and got mixed reviews on this company. should i drive the 4+ hours to pick up a rear hatch bumper prepped for paint for $30 or so or just order from passwordjdm for $80(shipped im assuming) and request that i have a black one?

i want it to fit perfect, i rather not spend the extra money for paint but if i have to i will, therefore the request for a black one.

Passwords bumpers do not include shipping, have scratches and are not the same black as on your car so would need to be repainted. You could order one from Honda and spend less than you would driving 4 hours for a $30 bumper and know it will fit.

OEM is your best bet. Certifit sucks.

$166 is about the cheapest you will find for the OEM part which is a good deal.

idk about u but i like to drive my stock 00 dx and not mind the 4+ hr drive. at least you get the see it before you buy it. and you can compare it to what you got right in front of you too.

my opinion, DRIVE.

I agree, I bought a Certifit rear bumper for coupe and it didn't fit at all but I found a used oem on craigslist right down the street from me so it's worth a try. Oh yeah, it only cost me $20!

check your local junk yards, and then take what you find, sand it down yourself, primer it, and take it to get it painted.

I bought a certifit hood last month for my 97 ek. The body shop that was going to paint it wanted to test fit it before painting it, When they did they said WOW that was the first one they came across that fit good. I was 2 hours away and just had them deliver it. $40.00... I figured it would have cost me almost that much in gas as well as my time so I had them deliver it. I called at 9:00 am and had it buy 2:30 pm that same day. Just make sure it fits before getting it painted is all I can say. I may have got lucky on the hood, dunno. It's all a risk I suppose.
