Just curious if the brackets from a 98 GSR will bolt directly unto the EJ8 chassis. If there are slight modifications that need to happen any info would be appreciated.

Reason for question: Might pick up 98 GSR leather front seats and curious if the seats can bolt directly into my 97 EX coupe. Don't have my rails (brackets) any longer, sold a while ago.

I understand that, but as I stated in my first post I no longer have my stock rails/brackets. Therefore I am curious if the brackets off of the 98 GSR will bolt right into my chassis.
Unsure if what you linked is directly saying "Yes those brackets from the GSR will bolt right into the same spot as the EJ8 brackets" or not.

 

No, it won't. You can only bolt up 3 bolts. The procedure from above tells you how to swap rails. You can go to a junkyard and pick up cheap EK seats.

 

it will line up only 3 holes but it will be fine i hsve been doing it for over a year now and no probs. I got mine out of a 4dr gsr and the front and back fits perfectly with no gap
