Default F22a - Vtec Head

Before I get flamed, YES I have searched and looked through the facts. I found things about F23s and F22bs but not on the F22a.

Basically what I am wanting to know is.. can I put an H22 head onto my F22a block?

I know I would have to maybe get the compression matched correct?

Reason I am asking is my origional plan was to buy a Euro H23a3 Vtec block for $150 and throw a H22 head on it but swapping would be a lot of work.. I would need a new AC Compressor, Power Steering Pump, Cruise, etc. All those H-Series parts and it just dosen't seem like it's worth it.

I know I wouldn't make much power, but hell anything is better than what I've got..

I'm also thinking about throwing the Vtec head on and boosting. 6-psi to start on and maybe turn it up to 10 later on. I know the F22 blocks are strong as hell and can hold lots of boost on stock internals. I know the head would need some beefing up if I were to boost.

So basically.. can I throw an H22 head on my f22a sohc non-vtec block?

That's why I posted this. I read his thread, but thats for an F22 VTEC block. I don't know if they are the same or not.

All F22 blocks are basically the same. Its the heads that are different.

Actually all of the F and H series blocks are pretty much the same ( for the most part )
