When I am driving my speedometer is working fine and all of a sudden it starts tweaking up and down or its stays at 0mph and then it starts working fine again, it does that every once in a while, what can it be? I check my speed sensor and it seemed fine.

I have 1996 honda civic hatch with a B18C1

 

 

how many miles? i recently had a similar problem, turned out to be my alternator wire running to the fuse box under the hood was shorted out. as well as faulty ground wires.
