Default how to fit the jdm hood?

hey guy i just put on my jdm front end on my crx, i got everything to fit except for the hood to the T-bar. The hood seem to be longer for the T-bar so i can't close the hood on to the latch. the hood is like 2 inch away from the t-bar hood latch. Anyone know how to fix this?

OHHHH....You may have the wrong hood....Sometimes Civics hoods are a bit longer than the CRX', I made the same mistake by getting one at the Junkyard and finding out later that there are different ones...unless of course you know this is the right hood. In which case you will probably need at least one more person to hold it for you just make sure they align correctly.

yo im in the same boat, but there are threads online about this. try to move the hood latch on the hood back some if you can, and also i think you need to put some washers on the tbar which will put it in the spot u need to latch it.

Yeah, from reading an FAQ on this a while back I think you need to move the hood latch all the way forward and then put some spacers in to move the t-bar about 1/4" forward.

Zaakro;

I saw that post when you first did it and have to say that it's very good write-up.

But it would be helpful (at least to me) if you refered to the t-bars as "the red" one and "the black" one. It was a little confusing to me and maybe others.

Of course that could lead to people doing e-bay searches for "red" t-bars.

I bought this hood from a civic once at a junk yard and it looks identical but it would not fit on my CRX, I saw the guy take the hood off of the civic. It probably depends on the year model of civic, since you guys are saying that it is the same Part #.

You could take the latch mechanism out and use hood pins.

thanks for the comment Wes. This was the first time i have written one of these and I like to hear comments bad or good so i can make the FAQs better. I fixed what you were talking about. I can see why people would get confused.

Thanks ありがとうございます

starting to get there...you will have to do more adjustments on the latch itself to make it sit lower.
