Help with water in head
Hi everyone i just registered Ive been coming to this site for a while for some reference .
Ok heres my dilema I have a 95 civic with a stock d15b7 my car over heats and it got some clear lookin stuff inside the head which i suspect its water the car runs but it shakes a lot .
My question is do you think its the head that went bad and not the block?my car has always over heated a little sometimes and when u give it gas the temp needle goes down quick .I checked the water pump its fine the thermostat the radiator is new the fan everything looks good
The other day i was driving and the car just lost power and acted like if it had a bad spark plug or wire then it over heated to the red and i would go ddonew no more
so i checked the head took the cover off and i see all this lighter look stuff on the oil which i suspect its water
So do you think its the head not the whole block the car runs and everything never shut off while it over heated
any help would be apreciatted please

If you have water in your oil it is because of a blown head gasket, or a cracked head or block. If you have been running the car over heating like that for any amount of time you Will need to have the head resurface and install a new head gasket
yeah i plan to get a new head put on i would want to do a mini me but i need the car asap so im gonna stick with the a stock head for now so how can i tell if the engine block is cracked??

Look at the deck surface when you pull the head off...
Make sure you check the level/flatness of the head and block with a feeler gauge before you slap it back together.

hey if i wanted to do a mini me right now what car does the y8 and z6 heads come off from because u know that junkyards sometimes have no clue with honda engines i know i need the p28 ecu i can use my old dizzy on the y8 and i need cables and the y8 timing belt right??
hopefully your block is ok, just maybe need to mill the head down a bit ( because of warpage ) and put new gasket..look at it this way depending on how much is milled you can increase compression

you could try a ghetto *** way
this has worked on my old integra that I got rid of a while back
remove spark plug wires then stick the socket on there attached to a breaker bar and turn the engine over. the breaker bar will be stopped by the ground and the bolt will be loosened. of course only turn the engine for a very short time or the breaker bar will probly fly somewhere or damage something.
I am probly gonna get flamed or whatever for suggesting this. but whatever it worked on my integra. and most people don't have strong enough air tools to get that bolt off. but everybody has a strong enough starter lol.
or u could probly try putting the transmission in gear.
