Default HEADWORK RECOMMENDATION

Reply RE clearances around DC 4-2-1 header greatly appreciated. Info about these type items saves time/money when the parts work right the first time.

This weekend I teardown and rebuild the rear suspension on the Accord. Suspension/brakes completely done. The head comes next.

I have been researching companies that do headwork. I plan to have the head ported/ 0.5+ SS valves/ mild street-cam/ etc. I saw the ad for DH racing on this site tonight.

Input as to quality of work/ quality of parts used by DH would be greatly appreciated. Input from persons who have had heads by DH installed for a reasonable length of time/mileage with comments RE reliability also appreciated.

There are several machine-shops in my area, but none are experienced with head porting, so I will probably have to use a company like DH. Thanks.

i had my headwork done by portflow and im very pleased with the job they did.

RLZ also has an excellent reputation in terms of quality, but hes a tad more expensive and takes longer (to be expected)

you cant go wrong with either

i suggest you DON'T go to alaniz, he still owe my friend money and a set of valvesprings + retainers. no answer to phones, or return v/m and completely ignore emails as well. do some search, and you will see a lot of people are upset with the way he is handling his business.

thanks for the warning man but i have seen plenty of other reputable businesses also deliver poor customer service but i see alaniz as being one of the top few machinist is the country so I'm sure his ratio of good to bad service is amazing but again thanks for the warning i will make sure to do some research on it.

I could go on and on about all the winning cars he's done work for. Many are on this site. Several National Champions.
