Default Ok, its been a while....Just want to clear this up

Ok, I have one CRX with a ZC currently. Runs great. No problems with the swap. Then again its pretty much a bolt in swap haha.

I just bought a new CRX, 88si. My buddy just bought his boosted 98 civic ex back from the insurance company cheap and is hooking me up on the engine/ecu.

Obviously the engine is a D16Y8.....My plan is to put it in my car, bolt it to my si tranny (L3?) use the y8 ECU, dizzy, harness, and I would like to re-pin the harness for the ECU. All OBD-2. My CRX is obviously OBD-0. If I use my tranny, how do I convince the ECU that there is an electric VSS reading? If the VSS doesnt work then I may as well boost the A6 thats in there.
I dont take shortcuts and dont mind spending a couple extra bucks to get it right. So anyone with input lets hear it.
My A6 is coming out on sunday, so I would like to try to get this sorted out by then.

Get an electronic VSS for your A6 tranny. Pull one off of a 92+ d-series OBD-1 civic.

no do not pull one off a 92+ civic. it reads it from the gauge cluster

I forgot to mention I have the UK gauge cluster from an SiRII going in. Cable driven VSS 150mph and 9500 RPM. So I need to find a way to make the wiring work

just do an obd0-obd1 conversion and run a p28 ecu.
what wiring needs to work? The vss is cable driven and wont effect the ecu at all
