the only reason i posted this link was that i was looking at getting some new tires...azenis are $70 bucks and tirerack still has them on sale for $76 buck...both for 15' inch. What do you think is the better buy.

For street and track use, I vote for Azenis. They will feel a little sloppy at first, but after you break them in, they have stiffer sidewalls and better grip than the stock tires.

SO3 will last you much longer...but they are twice the price of the azenis.

tirerack still has the s0-3 on sale $76 vs azenis $70. Is then the s0-3 better for the price???

what is it you want to do? street only? mixed it up a bit...steet/track? Does it rain a lot in your area? You want to buy new tires once a year? What?

Wet weather is a problem...there's a lot of water here. I am looking for a tire that is good for street/track. I want to buy tires every other year. Where i live there is winter too. The tires only get use for 6 months only.

Um, don't the two options he provided give you enough info to make a logical recommendation? He listed two high performance tires...the performance difference between them is negligible, neither one of them is going to last long if you drive hard, and one costs less than half as much as the other...do the math.

P.S. who gives a fawk about whether or not it rains a lot where he is. Any DOT approved tire will do fine in the rain, provided you drive accordingly.

SO-3....IMO.
or
Potenza RE730.....just a thought on those.

but i'm sure other here will tell you not to worry about rain + azenis....but i would be with contact patches that big. If you lived in AZ or something, they sure go with the Azenis.

High performance driving and rain don't belong together...you should be driving slow when it rains, so either tire will work fine. I say get Azenis. That way if you beat the crap out of them and want a new set, they are cheaper to replace.

apprently Bob doesn't care seeing how he rode on his original RE010's FOREVER. Give him props for that though. hehehehehe

Plus...it helps that Bob doesn't drive his car all over hell and back on his Azenis tires.

tell me....what's going to have a higher tendency to hydroplane? Azenis or the SO-3?

I drove them for 15k miles. The edges were completely bald, and I was half way through the wear bars. I don't see your point, there are people on here that get 25k+ out of the RE010s...

Plus...it helps that Bob doesn't drive his car all over hell and back on his Azenis tires.
Again, I don't see your point. The R is my only car, and it is daily driven. So what if I only put ~14k miles a year on it?

Neither if you drive according to the road conditions.

Azenis - high performace tire that is designed for autocross competition, yet is a street legal tire...love mine.

S03 - high performance tire that is designed to be used in variable weather, still it's quite sticky, does not have the ultimate traction of the Azenis

If you are concerned with the longevity of the tires, purchase the S03's...if you want some sticky tires that are for summer/occational competition use get the Azenis.

Jeez, even your direct replies are off topic. You made lame comments and I responded...what's the matter?

P.S. I never said anything about being perfect, but I'm glad you think of me that way.
