Got my new baby! Yea or Nay on Permaplate?
I got my baby 2 weeks ago and lovin it.

Well, me and the dealer had to resolve a problem and in the end he gave me the permaplate kit to get rid of me. Is it worth putting on the car since its free. But I do have to put it on by myself. I heard some people saying it actually made the paint worse. But what do u guys think?

Where I purchaed my Civic they threw on some stuff called Auto-Mate. They tried charging me $200 for it but I stood my ground and told them I did not order that and I wanted it removed (you can't). So they caved and no-charged it.
The Auto-Mate has a 3yr. warranty and you take you car in to the dealership every 6mo. for re-application.
So, on the 6th month I took it in for re-application, when they were done my paint job looked like fine glass!!
Big yea on that ****!!!

Had the same thing on mine. The difference is the car usually stays cleaner. When it rains, the water rolls off and creates less spotting. The dealer guarantees interior and exterior corrections/replacements if anything happens. Otherwise, you pick up the bill to fix paint and interior issues in most cases.
