I've got my transmission apart completely now, and the next step is to clean clean clean with solvent, but I was curiuos, what are ALL of the "consumable" parts that I'll need to replace. Best place to purchase? Do ALL bearings need to be replaced?

You don't have a Service Manual, do you?

 

Yes, I do have a Helmes manual. However, I'm not not sure if ALL parts need to be replaced. i.e. I have a one of the needle bearings in where the countershaft sits. I haven't pulled it yet. Does it really need to come out? Does the oil guide plate beneath it need to be replaced? And finally, where is the BEST place to order these parts? Dealership?

 

Check condition of your synhros (sharp teeth and sharp ribs on the inside), check all engagement teeth on the gears and sleeves.

You may also want to change the friction dampers. They look like seals.

These parts are expensive though.
