Default am i wasting my time? header..

ok, after reading up on here for a while now and after doing alot of fabbing on the kart i want to up the anty. I've had this idea in my mind for a while now, going over different variations and what not. My primary goal is see if I can even do it and make it work reasonably well. Secondary goal is to mount the turbo to the side towards the tranny and not have to worry about a/c fitment issues.

this would be going on a dual zc and is a budget build so expectations of the system should be considered. im not wanting all out power. rather an alternative to the normal logs, ramhorns, and topmounts.

This being said am i wasting my time, or could i expect a reasonable amount effeciency. Knowing that length and amount of bends come in to play with spool rate, would this thing even work worth a damn.

please go easy on me, im still a novice fabricator.

either would work as long as the primaries are relatively close in length. but keep in mind the angle of the primary as it exits the head. you dont want a steep angle right as the exhaust flows out of the head because that will cause restriction. just food for thought.

so, if i were to say that a larger bend radius closer to the port as the first turn would be better than a smaller bend radius further away from the port...i would be correct?

Nice, another turbo 4AFE. That was my first turbo car, loved every second of it!! Any more specs on the setup? (Sorry for going OT).

To allmotorSOHC16-

I would rock a large radius bend. it doesn't matter (well, it does in a sense) where you have the small radius bend; it's still going to cause more restriction than a large radius bend.

Some more OT to answer snafubmx234's Q:
Yeah, sure. Dual injectors from 2 3S-FE engines, 213cc/min and 200cc/min (200cc/min as the primaries). Garrett t03 from a saab 9000, custom made manifold, piping, intercooler from a C-200kompressor Mercedes, Ignition controller by VPV-motorracing (a finnish company), rear diskbrakes from a AE82 GTi corolla, front brakes from a AT171 carina. Megasquirt efi and a fuelcell with a MSD pump in the rear.

as stated before, large radius bend would be better of course. id allow for at least two inches of straight pipe coming out of the head before it turned anywhere but hey thats just me. i know with a turbo the space factor is much greater so that might not be possible.

Yeah I know, not as much as turbo hondas atleast. Maybe its because all the corolla-kids try to find ready made kits, that dont exist and then settle for Cold air intakes and rice-mufflers thinking they get power with that. Such a shame.

How do you figure this? What do you think the exhaust port is itself? We have done them both ways and have not seen a chnage. Think of it this way where do you want a tighter bend? Where the exhaust gas velocity is highest or lowest?
