here is the WEBER CARB... there is a box (removed) that traps the air from the scoop and pretty much keeps it confined to the filter. There are holes for water drainage.
As you may have notticed, I off-set the hood scoop to line up with the carb filter.

oh yeah i forgot some of the older kords were carbed
but on a fuel injected car unless your running individual throttle bodies is completelly pointless and non-functional

if ur gonna put any sort of 'scoop' or get any scoop hood, make sure it's functional. u know anything that is actually FUNCTIONAL to its use looks good.
even those ugly *** dragon nostrol ground-designs hood is more functional than a 'ram air scoop' which was created for carb'ed cars.
one thing that isn't too bad tho, is the lil tiny scoop on the hood where the air filter is in the bay, im not sure if any of u guys know what im talkin about, but that is functional, one thing i WILL go with once i get a turbo, is sell my c/f hood and get me a nice turbo vented one >;P
point is, don't put a scoop unless it's where ur air filter is, or for venting out heat

I have a air scoop but its in the bumper not the hood. Took a standard orange cone, cut one end to the bumper cut the other end and inserted three 1.25 in tubes that end at the filter.
I've seen a Volkswagon GT-I with a small 3" wide by 2" tall scoop above the filter.
sort of looks good...
It's not that perfect, but I measures the height at either corner when I stuck the scoop on.
Since the height of the 2 angled sides are almost exactly alike, all I had to do was bend them till the height of the opening was equal on both corners of the scoop.

that hood scoop looks really nice and profesional. How did you bend it to the same angle on both sides.

I have been considering puchasing a carbon fiber hood with a radiatior scoop built in, because of the insanely high underhood temps for Accords. I would paint it though.

just ruins the purpose of a 'carbon fiber hood'. buy a fiberglass hood man ;P
plus, i love carbon fiber hoods, at one point i didn't, but it's grown on me, probably because i have one....heh
