Best value street/strip 205/50/15 tires
Well its time for the R to get new shoes. 4.5 years and over 45k on my Kuhmo 712's. Good tire but would like something different in the same price range. Any suggestions?
Check this thread out, read nsxtacy's post. He's posted some great info and options of tires.

The information in that topic is still valid.
Since you're looking for the best value, I recommend the Kumho Ecsta SPT. It's much, MUCH better than the 712 - very good dry traction, awesome in the rain, and will last just as long (30-45K miles). And the price is right, too: $48/tire after rebate in 195/55-15, $44/tire after rebate in 205/50-15 (which is actually cheaper than the 712).
You'll find the $40 rebate offer here. Note that it needs to be mailed within 30 days of the date on your purchase receipt.
(I'm assuming you don't need to use the tires in winter conditions...)

Thanks dude, I think I'm going to try the falken RT615. I rarely drive in the rain and want something that will grip at the track. I couldn't pull better than a 2.2 60ft with the kuhmo's. Guys on HT who drag say that 2.0-2.1 is obtainable with the falkens, we'll see!
Thanks
Thanks
The Falken Azenis RT-615 is awesome if you're looking for dry traction in a street tire. I wouldn't exactly call it the "best value" though (due to its rapid treadwear). It will be like night and day vs those crappy Kumho 712s!
