yea pretty much... Its really the only thing I could think of. What kind of noise is it? does the car shake at all? hows it handle at high speeds?

If it is the axles, which is what it sounds like, try raxles.com I just received some and am thoroughly impressed.

^^ looks dead-on right.

Check for missing bolts from motor mounts.

Also, I had an axle that would act 100% fine under coasting, turning, etc., but shake the car to pieces under HARD acceleration. Napa NEW axles are about $100-$110 and work fine for my turbo road race application. I would recommend them.

Edit: Excuse me, I don't recognize your location, and you said it was a JDM ITR.. I'm not sure if the axles are the same as the USDM on that year, or if you have a NAPA near you, but if both are true I'd recommend them.

Hi guys, thanks for your inputs.

I live in the UK so shafts would have to be imported, genuine honda items cost a fortune here, I could probably import uprated shafts for the price of UK ones.

There is no shaking involved - just vibration, handles fine at all speeds too.

There is a slight knock when at standstill and turning the steering wheel side to side. which I thought could be steering ball joints??

Thanks again people

Plus - got some new bits coming - DHRacing head, BDL throttle body, xeady clutch, skunk 2 inlet, aem pulley kit, toda stage 2 cams and lots of other stuff too. think I'll take the teg off the road over autumn and winter and give her a good seeing to.
See if we cany get a few more whp eh !! then Full-Race turbo kit next year - wehey!!!!!!!! we're off.

Do you have an aftermarket exhaust? check and make sure you're exhaust isn't touching the underbody shell of the car, under hard acceleration it could shift a piece of the exhaust piping to the underbody causing the vibration (But check axels first, if handlnig and everything stays the same, and it's just vibration, then check exhaust)

This happened with my RS*R exmag GT II a set of new exhaust hangers fixed it.
