Default Not sure which NGK Spark Plugs to pick up for my 97

-NGK Laser Platinum Spark Plugs, part# PZFR6F-11 - $11.00 each
-NGK Copper Spark Plugs, part# ZFR6F-11 - $2.50 each
-NGK Iridium IX Spark Plugs, part# ZFR6FIX-11 - $6.95 each

These are the three plugs for a USDM H22a4. Car is just about stock with I/H/E

I know the laser platinums are what come from factory. I dont want crap in my car and I'm even going to have it up for sale soon (However, in no rush at all so I will happily continue driving it) so I'm not sure whether I need to get those $11 a piece plugs.

Alternatively, the coppers are for my car...but i'm curious as to whether or not there will be a difference in terms of performance. (in terms of optimum spark and starting my car without a problem, not horsepower)

In case it matters, I'm simply changing these (along with my plug wires) for a tuneup.

Also, if you know of a place that I can pick up any of those for cheaper, I'm all ears.

I just bought some Iridium for my car about 2 weeks ago. No problems at all.

Before i bought my set i did some searching the iridiums were the most popular choice just a FYI.

i put platinums in because they're standard equipment, i wouldn't bother with copper plugs, just pay the extra and get platinums. iridiums are more expensive i think but its a waste of money, i've never heard of someone gaining power by using iridium plugs over stock platinums one's

According to the prices above, the iridiums are cheaper!

i just buy the V powers. They are 2 dollars or so a pop. If you are bored and want to blow 50 bucks on iridium plugs, go for it.

Copper conducts electricity better than platinum so u copper has a performance edge but the platnium last a lot longer. So its ur choice....performance vs. life(dont know anything about the Iridium plugs)

you didn't understand my sarcasm, i said its amazing because platinum isn't used in sparkplugs because of conductivity, neither is iridium, they're used because performance plugs have fine wire electrodes for better spark propagation and copper would fall apart if it were that fine.

YEP! V POWER ALL THE WAY! UNLESS YOU HAVE AN NSX OR SKYLINE...HIGH "PERFORMANCE" SPARK PLUGS DON'T DO ANY GOOD.

WITH COLD/HOT PLUGS/ IRIDIUM/ PLATINUMS... IT MAY NOT EVEN GAIN YOU ANY POWER AND CAN EVEN BE USELESS AND LESS EFFICIENT THAN OEM . V-POWERS!

EXPENSIVE SPARKS FOR LOW PERFORMANCE HONDAS:

V-POWERS WITH NGK WIRES :

go away, youre a retard

having a more powerful car has nothing to do with needing plugs that last longer, the only reason platinum and iridium plugs are reccomended is because they last the OEM service interval....

how is using a platinum plug going to be less efficient than OE plugs if OE plugs are laser platinum. and you wont gain power with any sparkplug, you'll only lose it by selecting the wrong one. and stop using capitals you d!ck

Get the $2.50 ones. The others just last a bit longer, not worth it IMO.
