(09-19) 13:52 PDT SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO -- South San Francisco police are looking for a 1999 or 2000 red Honda Civic with a large spoiler on the back in connection with a fatal hit-and-run collision that occurred on Saturday.

Police described the suspect as a male in his early 20's who at the time was wearing a white baseball cap over a long black ponytail.

The car sustained damage to the driver's side and the front of the vehicle, police said.

The driver struck two pedestrians around 2:45 a.m. Saturday at Oyster Point Boulevard and Eccles Avenue and then fled the scene, Sgt. Paul Ritter said.

Carlos Duran-Valencia, 35, was pronounced dead at the scene, and another man was hospitalized and released with some injuries.

Police were able to identify the suspect's car because of a piece of the vehicle left at the scene, and by interviewing the second victim, who is now on crutches, Ritter said. Police have not released that man's name.

Lame. Guy deserves to get caught. I laughed at the "street racer type" description of the vehicle though. Also, they have a 2dr and a 4dr pictured...

Word, somebody hit my GTI (this was like 4 months ago) in a parking lot, dunno who it is...not hard, just tapped it...but enough to crack the bumper - That bumper's expensive on a GTI.
