Default supercharging vs. turbocharging...

hey guys, i am debating between a supercharger (probably vortech) versus a drag gen III turbo... ive heard for the ITR's a supercharger may work better with the high compression, not sure... but i guess there is less maintence with super, and i can get about the same amound of power by just adjusting the pulley sizes... any suggestions on which would work best??? and if the super, what else will i need to go along with it... thx alot pimps...

**i also heard a supercharger is more friendly when using nitrous??** thx agin

for supercharging, you should talk to Rboosted717 and ITR607. i believe rboosted717 has a jackson racing supercharger on his r. itr607 used to have one but went back to an all motor setup...he'll swear by his new all motor!

i'm sure there are others with non-jackson-racing superchargers...but i hope this gets you started.

Definitely talk to the members that are super/turbocharged. Also, this would be a good time to learn the basics of both turbocharging and supercharging and how they are different from eachother and what eachothers benefits are over the other.

i can get about the same amound of power by just adjusting the pulley sizes
This is where the research part comes into play. I'm no expert, but I think its much eaiser to get more power out of a turbo. You're making it sound like swapping pulleys on the supercharger is eaiser than turning the boost **** on a turbo, when its really the other way around.

hey, well i have done a lotta research on the turbos but not so much superchargers... i guess what u say makes sense, but looking at the over all aspect, u can basically make a supercharger work just as well as a turbo if u dont plan to do internals.. not sure??
