Screw quiet, what are some LOUD exhausts?
Most racers run either a 2.5" from the header that dumps somewhere under the tunnel or run the 2.5" all the way back to a Dynomax Super Turbo straight thru muffler. Unfortunately neither setup has a pimpy chrizzome 4" tip.

try Apex'i Dunk turbo muffler with straight piping, and see what your neighbors say..
it's like going to the drive through and the person in front of you is taking forever.. just rev'er up.. and drown them out.. they'll never be able to finish the order..
A friend of mine had an exhaust shop cut off his muffler and replace it with an 8 inch chrome tip. It's very very loud and obnoxious, plus it's pretty illegal... I think it violates every part of the colorado muffler law. It helps performance a lot due to the lack of a muffler, but it amplifies his engine noise quite a bit. I'll laugh real hard when he gets busted for it, especially since he claims that the catalytic convertor counts as a muffler and refuses to believe me when I say that excuse wont work (I actually read that muffler law, he obviously didn't).
I just installed an ITR muffler on my '97 LS... I only have the axle-back on for now; the ITR b-pipe and a DC 4-2-1 header will go on this weekend. The muffler alone has given me a noticable performance improvement, with only a small increase in sound. The engine seems to "pick-up" a lot better when I floor it, especially after shifting into the next gear (ie mid range rpms). I can't wait until I install the b-pipe and header...

My Skunk2/Invidia exhuast is loud as hell combined with a jdm 4-1 header and test pipe. At one point i was even thinking about taking out the resonator, but it would be way too loud.

The loudest exhaust I've ever heard would have to be that Tsudo Aggressor crap where it's like 2 separate canisters. They should call that an amplifier instead of a muffler.
I remember some trailered Integra having one at NOPI a few years ago, I could hear that thing rev up from ALL the way across the speedway.

That's my track muffler.
1flossedteg: I listed those exhaust (Apexi N1 and Super Dunk Megaphone, and Tanabe RM) as examples of loud exhausts and then I said OR get any of those cheap exhausts like the generic ones.. those are loud and raspy...
I was not saying that Apexi or Tanabe, or greddy, HKS, etc.. was cheap exhausts.. I meant that those are loud exhausts.. and as an alternative to those that he could get a cheap exhaust like tenzo, maxspeed, bombspeed, crapspeed, arospeed, obx all the others...you kno those cheap (both price and quality) exhausts.. I was not saying that Apexi was a cheap exhaust....
