Default Converting OBD2 auto ecu to manual.

I've swapped a manual transmission from a 99 dx into my auto 00 ex. Do I have to buy a manual OBD2 ecu or can I do something to my ecu and make it work on this car. I searched here and pgmfi and didn't find info about it; only about OBD1 ecu's. Will any 96-00 manual ecu from an ex work? Thanks in advance.

Since you have an '00 EX, you will need a manual '99-00 P2P ECU, which is OBD-2b. The '96-98 P2P is OBD-2a and won't work.

He has an EX, so he shouldn't be using a P2E at all.

don't even bother converting it, if it can be done at all. obd2 ecus can be gotten off ebay for under $40, just make sure you get the right one.
