Default p28 auto

i have my automatic 95 civic ex delivery car and i fried my computer and i need to buy a new. My friend is selling one but the problem is it is manual. Now my questions is would it work in my car and what would be the problems?? i know the shiftlock would not disengage and would there be any other problems?

im not sure about manual ecu to auto car, but i hooked up an auto ecu in my manual car. lol so maybe its vice-versa. not sure tho..automatics have more complicated things involved.

No it will not work. The ecu controls two solenoids on the transmission that the manual ecu doesn't have.

Yes auto to manual will work you will hit rev limiter too soon in like 4th or something I cant really remember and you will also throw a code for auto transaxle lockup solenoid or something like that. Converting auto to manual is easy tho all you do is de-solder two resistors and replace one with a jumper wire.
