ls/vtec power question

Default ls/vtec power question

ok so i have a b18b1 block, b16 head with a p28 ecu from a 93 civic si. i have been told that as long as it is p28 it will work fine for an ls vtec setup. i took it out for a spin and it idles fine and all that but for some reason im not feeling that much more power. any sugestions?

if its a stock p28 then theres ur problem...ur running a SOHC Vtec ecu on a DOHC vtec motor...wut u need to do is chip ur ecu

Yeah this is true, the P28 will run just fine to get you from point A to point B, and will not mess up your engine. You will not get the performance that you should out of it, as stated above, you are running a SOHC ecu on a DOHC, and on top of that you will get some crappy gas milage.

damn you guys are trippin that **** needs to get socketed and atleast a gsr basemap. p28 and p72 maps are very different ok do some searching
