You will want a P28 Chipped for a DOHC engine. You will probably want a P30 or P72 program.

I had my p28 for my ls/vtec chipped by locash. he put a dohc mugen program on it. but i had the rev limiter put at 8k because my bottom end isn't fully built with a block girdle and piston squirters. i just didn't want to be tempted to rev the crap out of it.

...yes if you have a bone stock P28 ECU, it needs to be reprogrammed/chipped with some kind of DOHC VTEC program....specifically a Mugen program.

Usually, the Mugen program that is placed on a P28 ECU are of these specs:

5700 vtec crossover
and has one of these rev limiters..
8800, 9200, 9500, or no revlimiter.

yes this program works well for LS/vtec or even B20/vtec engine setups..

I've got a PYR p28 ecu chipped to "p30+" specs. Bumped fuel and timing curves is what they told me. Worked great on my ls/vtec. Let me know if you want it-I can ship it to you. jgale00@hotmail.com
