is this a car that has just been sitting around? did you swap the motor or have done any tuning?

first off all put ur old wiring harness back on because that wiring harness is made for a right hand drive.check for spark. if no spark get a new dizzy model td-44u for an obd1 setup. once u get spark it should start right up.

can you here the fuel pump prime when you turn the key? If not then either your fuel pump or something is wrong with the main relay. Check all your fuses, under the dash and in the engine bay.

swithch the harness [there was no real reason to keep the jdm one on, im not gonna say you might have messed up wiring something but if something is loose you might have f'd your self by keeping the jdm one on].. make sure your running the right dizzy.. and triple check your grounds.. when i did both of my swaps.. [my tranny ground was on but jst not tighened all the way and i looked like an idiot checking everything else when all i had to do was tighen one 10mm bolt].. TORQUE them down all the way yo..

yes connect it to the body.... i dont know where else you would put it.. .. umm also.. if you werent aware their are 2 tranny grounds.. one that goes to the body and one that is part of the wiring harness it self.. the one by the tranny usually is around the area of the the starter.. and the other one should be connected usually right underneith the dizzy above the vss sensor, right under the dizzy.. next to umm i think it is a brown looking plug.. i forget what that sensor is..but its around that area..

the second one i was describing is the one i kept forgetting because it was the last thing on my mind once i got all my sensors pluged up and ready to go..

my prediction is that when you rewired the harness the second gound i was talkin about .. you missed the connection or it is a totally bad connection to begin with..

but does it crank..???

ground wires have nothing to do with this. if his ground wires were bad the engine wouldn't even crank.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by ogawa_jiei &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Well, I will double check those grounds, but yah, the engine cranks good. Sounds like a healthy crank. Just won't go... There's no spark. I check for spark yesterday.</TD></TR></TABLE>

if i had to take a guess i would say check your wiring. since you had to extend wires i would double check all the wires going to the fuel injectors. why? you might ask. i too had used a jdm harness on my jdm motor and had to extend the fuel injector wires.

Is anyone else reading his post he has fuel and it cranks and he HAS NO SPARK. it is time to let the ground problem go and start finding out why he has no spark. Have you Check to see if your coil is good? have you replaced the igniter yet. Grab a shop manual it has all the info on how to test these parts with a multi meter. My first guess with out testing is going to be a problem with the coil.
