Default Water leaking at hatch strut base? Any suggestions?

The car: 90 crx hf.

The problem: leaking hatch.

Source of leak: The leak is coming from the hatch shocks, where the shocks attach to the car, not the hatch itself. The leak is where the yellow arrows point. The seal looks to be good so I have no clue how water is getting in there.

Positive it's not strut oil, I even tasted on my way to work one day. Plus, it only happens when it rains.

Also, car didn't come with rear wiper nor nozzle. Didn't know that was called a C-pillar...cool.

I'm assuming it's a bad rear hatch window seal. Thanks for the replies guys!

Myt 86 CRX leaks water and it collects in the rear corners and my nozzle is loose but I have no dome light took the hole the out when the roof was tweeded, so could this be where the water is coming from, I've checked the lil tubes in the back that lets water drain and there fine.

if you still didnt find the problem take a look at this.. when i had my crx it was an si but the nozzle wasnt the problem it was at the upper corners of the roof panel itself where the trunk hatch and the roof meet,, there were cracks at both corners letting water in i dont know exactly how that happens (cracks) but that was my problem check yours out and see if they are cracked.. i just resealed it with a thick bead of silicone at the time and sold the car later

this has been discussed numerous times.

9 out of 10 times its the weld along the roof line thats against the door area. Right now there's a black strip of plastic in there. If you take that off and look under you'll see hairline cracks in the weld/sealent. Thats where the water gets in. It leaks in there, accumalates in the lower roof metal and pours into the c-pillars and dome light.

Mine's been doing it for 3 years. I just keep a towel handy.

ROFL i just got my crx a few months ago, it leaks like a **** lol and you guessed it, its from the hatch in the exact same spot as urs, lol only really does it tho when uit rains alot, and sometimes it wont do it all untill i move the car and the water it accumulates moves around to start leakin a lil bit, i just put a towl or car cover over my car now and that helps alot. but i also need weather stripping for my moonroof, oh yeah one other thing, welcome to the club lol

This is exactly what is happening to mine. Upon inspection, I found cracks in the roofline. I guess I better get a cage soon.
