Where's Chris been? NASA Championships...
Hey guys, the ITR has been gathering dust since July, but here's some in-car footage from my new H1 ride from NASA National Championships.
On topic, you can see a couple of ITR's in the video if you look close

How'd I do? DNF'ed the championship race.
Pressure plate cracked a springy thing on Thursday. Fixed that overnight. Lifting an H-series tranny into place in the grass with your wife at 1 AM is not exactly fun. We wrapped up at 4:30 AM.
Friday, Qualified poorly but did pretty well in the race (see video link above).
I drove like a big-fat-piece-of-turd-that-got-lodged-sideways-in-a-toilet-and-won't-flush-without-leaving-stains on the toilet Saturday. Ended 10th in qualifying race.
For the mandatory dyno, I was running a little rough, still topped the H1 crowd for power/torque at the 2400 weight.
A radiator hose popped off for the championships and the motor went kablooey. I haven't fully assessed the damage. There's oil everywhere, but I was able to limp back to pits with about 1.5 cylinders firing and the ECU cutting out above 2000 RPM.
Based on the Tank being down, I'll probably be racing Trogdor at Road America in a few weeks.
Later!
Chris

Sorry to hear about your misfortune but I must say, this is funny

That's an amazing description Chris. I know exactly what you're talking about.

Well yeah, it was one of the outer-springy-things, not the inner springy fingers. The pressure plate was held cockeyed because of the outer-springy-thing crack and was causing friction on the clutch, so it would never fully disengage.
It broke on one of the rivet-looking-fastner-things, which seems to be a popular place to break springy things.

Don't forget I suck at driving!
Hey, wait, can I borrow a couple parts from your car? Just the engine and tranny. No big deal.
