ok i bought a 96 gsr that has the most retarded alarm, it's an old school clifford, where you have to punch a certain code to deactivate it, it gets annoying because i have to redo the code if someone opens and closes the door, even if the car is running already... i don't know what model clifford it is but i want to remove it safely, where do i look for the wires where he/she tapped into the ignition? b/c i pulled one of the fuses for it and try to crank my car and it didn't crank, and i would like to remove it safely without messing any thing up, any help would be greatly appreciated!!
look for the ignition wires and there should be a relay attached to it, for the starter kill. you just need to reattach the cut starter wire back together and then take the alarm out and you should be ready to go.
Cliffords usually use a large 30a outboard relay for ignition kill -- look for the relay to find the ignition wires, and obviously, re-connect the original wiring.

What is the model number/name of the alarm?
Find alarm brain and then one by one follow the leads to where they are tagged/connected into the cars wiring and disconnect at that point.
If You get me a model number I can get you a wiring diagram for color code.

i don't even know the model number it came with the car when i bought it, the remote is like cheezy lookin woodgrain design, it comes with a up and down switch on the center console where you have you push up n down a certain sequence to de-activate it... this car has buncha anti-theft **** but it's done so so sloopy where i just wanna take out the alarm n clean up the wiring job underneath the engine bay...
There are a number of Clifford alarms that use a "plain view valet switch", ["up and down switch"] find the main "brain" the model number is on it.
However you don't need a wiring diagram to remove it, once you find the "brain" just follow the leads to where the are connected to the cars wiring or sensors and remove the sensor and disconnect the wires connected to the cars wiring. The "brain" is at the other end of the wires that the "plain view valet switch" is plugged into.

LOL...you have what many are looking for...bullitproof antitheft: Clifford's BLACKJAXX
Its an anti carjack feature...the car will shut down if an unauthorized user drives off with it. Yes its can be a pain-but if you knew what you actually had-you might reconsider.
